Dr. Gina Viernes, DMD

Originally from the Philippines, Dr. Gina Viernes has always had a passion for dentistry, a field she has dedicated her life to mastering. She graduated from Centro Escolar University in 1987 and began her career in the Philippines, where she quickly gained a reputation for her commitment to patient care and excellence. In 1996, Dr. Viernes made the bold decision to migrate to Hawaii, bringing her skills and expertise to the local community.

Her dedication to continuing education led her to the Las Vegas Institute for Advancing Dental Studies from 2006 to 2009. There, she delved into advanced topics such as full-mouth rehabilitation, neuromuscular dentistry, orthodontics, and dental implants. This specialized training allowed her to expand her skill set and offer comprehensive dental care with cutting-edge techniques, ensuring that her patients receive the highest level of care.

Dr. Viernes’ ambition and dedication culminated in the founding of Smile Dental Center Inc. in March 2001 at its original location in Waipahu. Through hard work and an unwavering commitment to her patients and community, she expanded her vision and, in 2020, celebrated the grand opening of the state-of-the-art Smile Dental Center Building. This new facility represents more than just a dental practice; it is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream to honor her parents and create a lasting legacy for her family. The center stands as a symbol of her dedication to giving back to the community and supporting future generations with exceptional dental care.

Dr. Viernes is a trailblazer in her field, always seeking out new ways to incorporate advanced dental techniques to benefit her patients.
